04' Tranny problems

I just got this truck and I was noticing that it didn't accelerate worth a damn. I kind of threw it off as being cold, but, when I start from a complete stop in first gear (on the gear shift lever) it accelerates great. When it is in drive though, it seems like it is starting out in second gear. It is covered under warranty but has anyone ever heard of this? Is this a tranny problem or something in else?

Should still be under warranty, take it in to be fixed.

Re: 04' Tranny problems

This actually stemmed from an electrical problem which caused my check engine light to come on. When I brought it in they said that it goes into "limp" mode when the check engine light comes on, basically it stays in second gear only. I got it back fixed yesterday and everything works fine. Thanks for the response!
