04 Odyssey replacing cabin filter
Has anyone done this? I just bought the filter and the instructions with it say that there is a brace that is to be cut and discarded... sounds a little fishy to me. any input appreciated!
TIA

Re: 04 Odyssey replacing cabin filter
Yep. Remove the glove box and you will see a pice that spans the opening thats the same color as the dash. At both ends you need to cut only the plastic out. Leave the metal brace behind it. You will see what looks to be dotted lines where you need to cut.
once the plastic is out of the way rmove the 2 8mm screws that hold the brace in and you can then get the filter out.

Re: 04 Odyssey replacing cabin filter
Yep. The part you cut is there to space things during assembly and is no longer needed. Just follow the instructions as I did for my 04.
