F-350 powerstroke Loses it's prime

My 1993 F-350 7.4 powerstroke diesel loses it's prime when you shut it off and then it takes a long time cranking to start.

Check the water seperator valve is closed good. But it could also be the fuel pump or leak in a fuel line allowing air to leak into the system.
