Engine lubrication

hi, I bought this stuff from canadian tire which is called:

Restore and Engine Lubricant. and it's a silverish type can, and it says on the can, 8 cylinder Formula.

on the back, it says to pour the whole can into the engine oil and put in when changing oil.

because it says 8 cylinder formula, will that work on my 4 cylinder 1990 Acura Integra???

sure, just put half of the recommended amount in, and you're all set. Although most of that crap they sell is all B.S. anyway, but <shrug>

I just need some stuff that will "help" my engine out and it's 419 000km's on it. I thought when it said 8 cylinder formula that it would be like helping 8 objects out in the engine.

Errr... Cylinders aren't quite objects. Rather, the lack thereof.

I can see now why you bought that. There's nothing you can do to help your engine by way of additives, unless you count using heavier-weight oil if yours is leaking/burning oil.

it's burning oil like normal but I wanted a product that would sorrta clean up the insides of the block and internal parts of the engine.

any recomandations on good fluids that i can use to clean the insides of my engine or help it by pouring some better lubricant in there???

If you already didn't get the message - there are no additives on the market that will clean out an engine. Why not just send it to a shop to have everything cleaned?
