Question throw bearing

Hi Guys

I have a 97 nissan altima MT, its a dumb question but anyways my throw bearing is making alot of noise when i press the clutch it goes away (i think its due to freeplay) is their anyway to reduce the noise without replacing it.

Re: throw bearing

The noise is your transmission bearings. When you step on the clutch peddle, the pressure increases on the throwout bearing and the mainshaft and mainshaft bearings stop turning. When a T.O. bearing is bad, the noise increases when the clutch peddle is depressed. There is nothing you can do other than replace the transmission or bearings.
