Re: Engine Swap

Like what motor / tranny do you have, like it matters alot.
Like are you able to do an engine swap? I don't know are you able?

Yes its possible to do anything, just matters what you orig had in the car, how much money you want to spend, and how much work you want to do.

If your thinking about changing from a 4 cyl to a 6 cyl, from what i've seen when people find out whats involved they usually change their minds. From what I understand you need to change everything from front springs, tranny, wire harness (yeah the one that goes thru the firewall to the dash), computer, exhaust, probably even the radiator. If your a backyard mechanic like me, I'd think twice before attempting this one.

Re: Engine Swap

Theres no doubt that it wouldn't be worth all the time and effort you would have to put into it. With all the work that you would end up doing it would probably end up costing a good $8-10k. And with that kind up buying a much better car. If it was an older car, I would say go for it, but with all the new cars the electronics are a real pain.
