Noisy Wipers

Maybe it's just the cars I get involved with but every Chevelle I have come in contact with has noisy wipers that groan and screetch as the blades go across the windshield even witn new blades, if there is not a lot of water on the glass.

Does anyone no how to solve this problem? Most greatful for any replys.

Re: Noisy Wipers

The wiper arms get metal fatigued after 20 or so years, so they twist and skip across the glass. Also the springs that keep the arms tight against the windshield lose their ability to control the arm smoothly.

New arms will help, but the dual arm driver's side is very hard to find new.
