Tire Noise from 2002 E320 ?
I have 17in Pirrelli low profile tires with only 18K miles. Has anyone experienced loud road noise using these tires on an E320 ? MB service is tell me that I'm lucky if I get 20K out of these tires. Tell me that's not true !

Re: Tire Noise from 2002 E320 ?
I think your MB dealer is right on the money maybe even a little optimistic. My boss had a set of Pirelli tires (P7000)on his e430 and the road noise was terrible, he put about 1,000 miles on them before he got rid of them just because of the road noise. I put them on my car and got about 15k out of them. Worst set of tires I ever had. I've never tried any of the higher end Pirellis but I'm not about to risk the $$ to find out based on the performance of the 7000's.

Has anyone tried the AVON TECH M550 A/S 235/45 17"
And would you recommend buying these tires ? |

Thanks.....That was my first stop after driving to my local tire dealer. Not one bad thing was said about them.
