Parking Lights

Recently i put a stereo in my car and theres some wires haning out b/c of the ones i dont use. I think i shorted out my parking lights b/c i seen a spark and i realized about 5 miles down the road that my dash lights werent on. So then i got home and realized that none of my parking lights were on! would this be b/c i blew the fuse or something else with the wiring? thanks alot!

Lightbulb Re: Parking Lights

well you can start looking at the fuses in the fuse box by your knees...you no were it is right! an jus check out all the fuses because i don't think that the brake lights an interior lights are on the same fuse?? but jus check them out and before you turn the car on cut the wires your not using an all i do is use electrical tape and tape em' off so none can touch nothing then wen thats done put the new needed fuses in at the same watt number and try to start the car they should all werk..if not coem back an tell us wut there doing!

Re: Parking Lights

yes, the dash lights and the parking lights are on the same fuse. I had the same thing happen a few months ago after i had my radio out. I replaced the fuse but it blew right when i went to turn the lights on. I pulled the radio back out and just jiggled some of the wires and that fixed it. You probably have a short somewhere around there so check that. Ive redone some of my wiring since then.

Re: Parking Lights

NO problem bud I'd say that mabey instead of jus" jiggling them which is also a way to "fix" the problem this is only for the time being an will most likly happen again so mabey jus try to see if eny off the wires are touching enything an even if not its a good thing just to be safe and tape 'em off but its up to u, guy ok tell us wut happend good luck !
