1989 CRX RWD possible?

I'm stupid about cars, but I want a drift car with FR layout. I was wondering since I got a free 1989 Honda CRX from my cousin, if I could modify it to have RWD. Or would it be more practical to buy a Nissan FR car?

Lightbulb

Yea get a nizzian of some sorts like 240sx those cars are pretty awesome (tryin to talk my neon friend into one as we speak ). Or a old toyota corrola GTS if you can find one.

On a side note about RWD hondas. If anyone watches SCCA valoline runoff's on speed channel...you WILL see RWD hondas of all kinds running in the GT5 and GT4 classes I think. Really crazy ass setups ont the insides, the stock motors are turned long ways, and a whole custom setup from the new tranny whole way back to the rear drive assembly. Lot of the parts are like machined and all polished to its awsome hehe. I think they even managed to keeps some form of double wishbone on those cars too. I assume most racers buy the drive assemblies from a aftermarket company cuz that sort of racing is very popular. However I don't think you could use in on a street car.

you could allways be like me and drift a FWD CRX. I lightened my rearend, installed a 22mm rear sway bar, adjustable shocks, and skinnier tires in the back then the front. My car oversteers at the drop of a hat, ask anyone who's ridden with me. The nice thing about drifting a FWD is that when you want to stop slidding you simply hit the gas and the rear end hooks up and you're good, just don't overcorrect (i never do )

It handles perfectly straight up to 130 mph - top speed so far. This car does NOT sit in the garage and look pretty. It drives around town and looks "surprisingly normal." That is, until the rear engine is fired up...
