Rear Window Defroster

I also have another problem. only the top half of my rear-window defroster is working. the bottom half never clears when the window fogs or is icy. it doesnt look like there is any broken filaments that heat the window. could it be a bad connection somewhere? i also noticed that when i do turn the rear defroster on that the radio gets staticy. i do realize the antenna for the radio is built into the rear window. any input would be helpful.
