keys stuck, HELP!!!!

i have a friend whos keys are stuck in the ignition, please help!

Ye si have had this hapen to me.Then i had a 91 240sx.The problem was that my batt cable was tight but need new cables old ones were bad.After i was messing with them it came out but it took about 10mins for that.

I am having the same problem but the thing is though my battery cables are just fine because the car starts and runs but the ignition won't turn back far enough for the key to come out. Are there any other possabilitys that might cause this to happen??

sounds to me the cable that runs from your shifter to your key switch is either broke or out of adjustment.

Ya I took a look at that and the cable on mine seems to be fine but like you said that it might be out of adjustment. I am finding that the button that goes throught the shifter is not going all the way up so yeah it's sounds like an adjusment problem for me.

reach up and grab the streering column and turn it clock wise
