it will blink if there's something wrong with the a/t, but it is normal for it to light up and go off after a few seconds during startup.
mine blinked continuously way back last january, accompanied by a loss of pulling power and when you step on the gas, the paj didn't know whether to stay in gear/upshift/downshift. the dealer checked it out and found out it was just a loose TPS sensor, which was good as i didn't need to replace parts. other causes for it to light up would be a bad tranny, atf needing replacement, and so on.
