Drivers door won' t open, HELP!

I have a 95 318i and cann't open the drivers door from the outside. I have taken the door panel off and cannot seem to find out what the problem is. There are three wire harnesses that only one of which was pluged in, the yellow one. The white and gray ones were not plugged into anything and I can't find where they would go. My first thought is that they would plug into options that my car does not have. Any help or insight would be helpful, my main goal it to open the door from the outside. Thanks in advance.
