My front exhuast heat shield is rust(The one right after the cat, right after the 90degree turn. Bolted with upper and lower pic). it is making loud noise and its killing me.

Can i go without that exhuast heat shield? Or can someone point me out where i can get a new one?

Re: Can you go without Heat shield?????

You absolutley can go without a heat shield. Mine started making noise like your's is, so I took it off. It's been off for about 25,000 miles so far, no problems at all.

What does the noise sound like? Is it a rattle or more of a humming noise the faster you go? I have a noise problem and wonder if that might be it. Thanks
