shaking when accelerating
I was on my way home today on the highway and i noticed when i accelerated the car would start shaking a little bit, it was doing that for about a minute or so and making a wierd sound too, forgot what it sounded like but when i got back home, looked under the hood and car then took it around the block real quick to see if it would do it again, it did a little but not as much as the first time, then it seemed alright. any idea what this (and how expensive) could be, its been kinda cold here the past few nights so i was wondering if that could have anything to do with it, i know temps in the 40's are like nothing to most of everyone on here, but being here in south florida i figured maybe this is something the car isnt used to???

Re: shaking when accelerating
There are a number of possibilities like a bad trans or motor mount. The other possibility is a bad CV joint on one the axle shafts. These will show a vibration during acceleration. Have the car checked by a mechanic as it will take some diagnosing to find the real problem. One other possibility is a bad or out of balanced tire. Good Luck!
