Eighties Contest Entry: 1989 Nissan R89C

Here it is, ive been waiting to build this for awhile because i was waiting for the SMS detail sets to come out. Well ive finally gotten every thing for the build so Im locking myself in the Workshop and not coming out till its done. I cant promise that i will finish in time but i will try. Just a note, the Lotus 99T is shelved for the time being, it was damaged in the storm so it waits for another day.....

Test mock-up:

Detail sets:

Ive started to remove the sensors that will be replaced by PE:

The engine is going to need alot of work but the rest of the kit should go pretty smooth. Updates coming later tonight.

I've also the SRC and S27 P/E sets, but this SM seem to be fantastic: I'll buy also those: at least I've 3 kit waiting..

Well, thread tracked..

Nice to see you back in action.

This should become one very nice and detailed build. Good luck with all the PE.

I will follow this one.

Thanks guys! If i had to get just one I would get the SMS kit, its just better detailed and has all the basics you need. But the SRC kit has some invaluable little bits for a full detail build. I might even pic up the S27 set just for the Calsonic masks.

Bottoms done, now i have to wait a couple days. Then i will smoke it and clear. Then start on the top side carbon. In the mean time ill start work on cockpit and brakes.

Hi Chad,

looks great, but the finished model should be placed on a mirror, that this CF can be seen.
