99 contour idling rough
my girlfriends car will start shaking after idling for 5 to 10 minutes and she says it died today. it took her a while to get it started back up. i already replaced the fuel filter. any other ideas?

Clean the MAF, Clean/replace IAT. Check plugs/wires/coil pack.
just the basics first.

hey if anyone has any ideas what this could be please give me some advice my car does the same thing. i was told by a few mechanics it is possibly a sensor that runs the fans and that it might not be working properly and because of this the car idles low to compinsate for the fan not turning on. i should probally add that it is not the sensor that runs the main fan just the ac fan but my mechanic told me that at certain times even if the ac isnt running the fan should kick on
