How to fix that saggy door.
Hey guys we all know most old cars doors start to sag you cant see it but when you go to close it you have to find those tricks like pick up and push in or push in hard anywho my question is there a quick fix? the only one i know of is have a friend hold the door up and hammer a nail into the hinge but then it doesnt look very professional thanks for your time.

Re: How to fix that saggy door.
I think replacing the hinge pins and bushings will take care of that problem. The only pain in the butt is getting the springs back in, but I bought a spring tool off Ebay and it helped a lot.

Re: How to fix that saggy door.
Just because its got low mile wouldnt mean the hinges arnt shot. My car has 95,000 and they are shot... then again, so are alot of things on my car >.<
But yes, just replace the hinges if you want a "Professional Looking" fix. |

well, i mean, 95 is kinda low for how old it is. and i went and checks and its only at 93,000-ish, but, most of the 82's ive seen have like 100,000 more miles than mine.

Re: How to fix that saggy door.
Get a 4' 2x4 board.
Place a small block of wood under the flat part of the door, (to protect the bottom edge of the door skin) Put the end of the 2x4 on the door sill - the door open at 18" (out at the end of the door) and lift the 2x4 to pry the door up. Do it gently and check fit often so not to go too far. Do this at your own risk!
