BMW E30 M3 vs. '99 or '00 Mustang GT
Which would make more sense for somone entering college this year? The M3 would cost around 18-20k, the mustang 16-18. The mustang is more powerful, but the M3 handles better.
so: how does insurence compare? relibility/repair costs? fun to drive? practical/long term costs?

Get the GT. I haven't driven a 99/00, but I have driven a 96 and it was pretty fast. They look good, and there are plenty of mods for them too (i.e. Vortec!!!)

are you guys crazy?? the M3 is sooo much better!!! it has 200 hp, not as much as a mustang, but it is so much lighter. it handles way better and brakes better.

that must be a mint e30...
those are pretty old compared to the mustang the ins will be lower though... but the parts will be more expensive... the difference is really in how much you want to spend after the fact... the e30 is older, parts are more rare, and the service is expensive... the mustang is new, parts are abundant... not exactly cheap, but hey... either car can handle... both are quick... i would take the m3 b/c i am not a stang fan the only mustangs i want are from the sixties... and they better have shelby stripes...

i don't really like american cars... but i'd go with the mustang just because i don't like how old cars look, plus it's pretty easy to make a mustang fast
