2001 Altima has a mind of it's own....

Hi - this ever happen to anyone? I have an '01 Altima and one morning I arrived at work to find that my remote was not locking the car. It would lock the car at first, but then just as quickly re-open the locks, flashing the hazards, and remain unlocked! The beep doesn't work when you press it. It's really bizarre. The only way I resolved it was by removing the battery from the remote. Even the Nissan dealer here in Tempe AZ. never heard of this happening. Anyone??

Well, problem wasn't resolved, the remote still doesn't work. The problem that was resolved was the annoying unlocking of my car every other minute! I'm still without a usable remote for my car.
