Dension Ice Link Problem

At times my IPOD freezes and i get the "AUX" on my NAV screen of my X5. I either have to switch back to my raido and wait for my IPOD to reset, or reset the IPOD myself.
Can anyone help me out with this?

Re: Dension Ice Link Problem

Mine does it too on my 325i with NAV. I thought it might be related to the text mode, but I'm not sure.

I've opened a trouble ticket at Dension FWIW. In the meantime, I'm leaving the text off and see if it still happens.

Re: Dension Ice Link Problem

Will do. Does your problem manifest itself in the Text mode only, or can the display be off and it still freezes?

Re: Dension Ice Link Problem

Finally got hold of Dension's BMW guy who says the problem is having playlists bigger than 99 songs (my playlist is 5000+). That kind of makes sense so I'm going to try making some smart playlists of exactly 99 songs and running them for a while.

I wonder if the CD Random button would work to shuffle within the playlists. I'm going to try that as well.

99 songs is around 7 hours of music, but boy how we are spoiled by having weeks of music on the Pod at one time.

Re: Dension Ice Link Problem

Actually I've had it freeze when I'm playing songs below 99 in the list and I told the Dension guy that, but he still says the huge playlist is the problem.

I did notice that when it's 'frozen' and you look at the CD display it is kind of wigging out at track 99 instead of whatever real track it's on.

I'd be interested to know if this helps your issue too.
