Re: Camaro Question

Re: Camaro Question

i thought of purchasing a v8 camaro but its hard to find one that is not ragd out, but i could rebuild that block easier than doing the other whacha think. By the way either one will be a weekender car

Re: Camaro Question

You could try to find a V8 Camaro, that someone blew the engine. Look for a deal, don't let anyone try to rip you off. If you get it for cheap enough than you could pull the engine and rebuild it. It would be an easy way to build horsepower and is a great learning experience.

Re: Camaro Question

I paid 2K for my Formula, it needed a torque convertor but the last owner thought the tranny was shot. The body was in excellent condition. So there are 4th Gen F-body V8's out there for a pretty damn good deal.

Re: Camaro Question

Buy a 3rd gen from ebay that needs some engine work.. there's alot of those, and you get the arguably better looking one. Also its alot easier to drop a v8 in that because of the engine bay and everything.

Re: Camaro Question

Its all a matter of taste so please no one use a best looking term or refer to one as being ugly. Some members find that offensive and I don't want to have any more bickering break out. Thanks

Re: Camaro Question

wait let me get this straight...

You are going to get a v6 camaro and put a v8 in it, instead of getting a camaro with a v8 already in it because you can't find one that isn't "ragged out?"

Putting a new v8 in an already v8 camaro is easier than putting a v8 in a v6 camaro.

Re: Camaro Question

73 Nova? first car I ever drove, no power steering, no brake assist, blown ball joints, no floor

I would go with though just for ease of fun things that can be done with it.
