Cooking

how many of the male members of AF can actually cook their own meals?

I ask this because when my female friends find out I can cook they find it hard to believe and tease that it must be just eggs on toast:finger4:

Had to cook my own dinner tonight so I had Sweet Thai chicken kebabs with a tomato and onion pasta bake on the side all served with a tall glass of Coke:licker: made enough for 2 and ate it all myself (I feel like I'm going to explode):buck

I love to cook, and I would say that I am pretty good at it. People always laugh at me too, when they hear that, but when they taste the food, I get compliments

My personal favourites to cook are:
  • Specialty Pastas
  • BBQ (steaks, burgers)
  • Pork Roasts done in the oven

Yup!

My girlfriend can't cook and she admits it.

I learned to cook at a young age because both of my parents worked incredibly long hours to support our family, so it was cook or starve. There were no microwaves back then and fast food was too expensive. We'd celebrate on a few Sundays and get the 5 for a buck specials on hamburgers at the local choke and puke, that was a treat!!!!!!!!!!!

I work long hours now so my son is the "MASTER OF THE MICROWAVE", doesn't even read directions, just estimates weight and nukes the frozen foods.

In fact, a lot of guys I know do the shopping and cooking in their families. One of my friends is a developer and his wife was starting to learn to cook. One day I was visiting them and she had her cook book open on the counter and she was making spaghetti using a canned sauce, it was really hard to hold back the laughter, but she is a real nice person and besides that, she's a black belt karate instructor.

I can't, but I haven't really tried to learn yet. I could cook a steak. Only because I don't like my steak cooked though.

I cook atleast one "sit down" meal every day. It's much cheaper and tastes a whole lot better then the other options. If DantesInferno ever comes around ask her, she knows of my many cooking delights

I cook only if I HAVE to. the advantage of living at home.

anyway I have a tendency to overcook things. I just suck at it, simple as that.
