Seems the center plug wire does not want to stay on?
It comes up/off and then the engine misses of course. It seemed to have some grease on it, but not oil, so I cleaned that off, then stuck back on, it did not click or connect well?? Ran fine then, but these plugs must be 100,000 or so miles. Should I replace the wires/plugs and continue to drive or what? Is this difficult to do yourself...must need an extension as the plugs are deep on these.? Nees some advice on this one? Great car...and has ran fine for several years so I do not mind spending a few bucks on it... Thanks. MJohn |

Re: 92 Civic with 220,000 miles
you can change your plugs yourself very easily
first get a spark pug socket for your socket wrnch, an extension longer than a foot and your plugs as needed per the timing belt cover on the engine or the manual. NGK is good, i have had great luck with bosch plat 2's though, not as hot running as the bosch 4's but still good. just be careful not to cross thread the plugs, it is easy in these cars// tighten them by hand first. while your are at the plugs do the dist cap, rotor, and wires. its always good to have fresh everything |
