i just wanna run em off my headunit, i dont really have a place to mount an extra amp for components

well which seems better?

i like how the alpines look but ya the pioneers have a greater frequency range (not by a lot but still) and have a smaller mounting depth and are cheaper

which should i get?

go with the pioneers. cheaper, better response, and able to get replacements easier (wal-mart)

is mounting depth an issue for your application? you might want to check into that

I remember the first pair of 6X9's I bought in the late 70's .... a pair of pioneers - they were the shizzle back then

well ya mounting is an issue but most likeley ill make spacers

so ya any other good 6.5s? i want some that get to around 30khz
