Interior paint?

I have a black interior and I want to paint some parts of the dash, inner door, and shifter knob area a different color. So my first question is what color should I use so that it will look good? How should I go about doing it? And what kinda paint should I use?

Me I think you should just keep it black..I wouldn't paint the dash and stuff myself cause it may look all mess up and ghetto afterwards

Not totally true. It'll look good if you prep the surfaces to be painted, correctly. As long as you know what you are doing, and how to do it all the right way, it should come out looking very nice and clean. I painted various parts of my interior trim silver, and it all turned out very nicely, no chipping of any kind, no flaking, and it's held up for over a half year now, and that's even considering it sit out in the baking hot So. Cali sun many days. Oh, and my paint of choice? Krylon. Like I said, it's all on how you prepare what you want to paint and ready it up.

I like what you did. It makes sense to paint it silver instead of buying those expensive $120+ kits that change the color of the trim to aluminum. I would like to know how you removed the Guage face glass to color the rear silver? I think i want to paint mine like yours.

Maybe we could swap interiors since I wan't to do the complete opposite and get a black interior

Actually, the part behind the gauge face glass, is a chromed gauge pod trim plate that I bought from a local import car shop. If you get one of those, to install it, just remaove your gauge cluster, and pop off the clear plastic cover, it's held on by several tabs, becareful not to break any of them or you're SOL, and then stick it on with some double sided tape, put the clear cover back on, screw your cluster back in place, and viola!
