Re: Quad 4 spark plugs

The plugs are located under the cover on the top of the motor, held down with 4 bolts. Be careful changing them if the motor is hot, they are nestled waaaaaaay down in the head.

Re: Quad 4 spark plugs

Becareful when you take off the cover, there should be a plug to the right of the cover carefully unplug that. You may encounter some resistance when pulling up on the cover. The spark plug boots(wires) are attached to the housing under the cover that is your ignition housing, just for your information undre the ignition housing the coil packs are located along with the ignition module, Any one of these items as well as your plugs and wires could be causing your problem.

After removing the cover the plugs are directly down in the center of the valley. before removing any of the plugs I always would either blow or vac out any loose dirt and debris. After that I would remove and replace one plug at a time. When you have them installed and are ready to put the cover back on make sure the ground strap is in place it is the braided wire strap with an eyelet that one of the cover bolts go through.

It can be a little tricky getting the cover on because you have to make sure the plug boots go on the plugs. and push down It may take several attemps to do this, for as many times that I have done this I still have a little trouble All I can say is take your time and do not let it frustrate you . You may even get it on the first time.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck
