Question 2002 Santa Fe 2WD....clutch?

I am getting a loud squeaking sound when I disengage ther clutch. This only seems to happen from a complete stop, I can also prolong it if a ride the clutch a little bit. Clutch does not seem to be slipping though, I can put it in third gear and let out the clutch from a stop and it will die.........

Am I missing something obvious somewhere?

Stumped

Re: 2002 Santa Fe 2WD....clutch?

Head on over to Hyundai Webtech and look up TSB 04-40-013 (Increased Clutch Durability). It mentions abnormal noise on 2WD systems, and it may apply to you in this case. But it could be and most likely its the Damper Clutch Shudder problem as mentioned in TSB 04-40-007.

TS out
