96' cavi won't start Please help

When i attempt to start my car i cranks but there is a fast ticking that is on the loud side. although i couldn't experiment with it because i had class. I was wondering what could i check?. I do have a sound system in the car, it's a 2.2 2 dr coupe. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

did you ttry to boost the car you probably should check the battery, battery connections alt and alt connections to start if they are all good check the starter, starter connections and selenoid and conections.

IF you batttery is ok , it sounds like your Starter Solenoid my need replaced.
