Mini Cruiser Recall

I have a 1979 Toyota Mini Cruiser. I moved out of state, so it hasn't been inspected for 1-2 yrs, and I want to sell it. A few people who were thinking of buying it told me there is a recall on these. I contacted Toyota-gave them all the info. and the VIN #. I know the info/VIN was correct because I was reading it right off the title. They told me, that it wasn't a Toyota VIN #, so they couldn't tell me if there was a recall. They said they only do the "chassis" in the minicruiser, so they aren't responsible. On the camper there is a decal with "RBR Corporation" on it. I haven't had any luck finding out about a recall through them either. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
