time for timing belt...

hey folks, I used to be a member, but had a bit of a hiatus with working on my early '85 944 n/a. But finally, i'm back to the project and I have a question: I'm gunna be doing the timing belt and all that other jazz, but i'm not exactly sure what all that other jazz is. Figure i should get it all done while i'm down in there. There isn't really a time constrant on this, so if i have it opened up for a few weeks, thats fine, I just want to make sure I do a really complete job. I was thinking to do a front end reseal with this kit: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...pg4.htm#item19, but I dont know what else...new rollers? which ones? I dont know much about the balance shaft stuff, is that all in the same area? If i dont already have it (i'm not sure if i do) should I get the updated water pump and install kit for that? I'm making my shopping list, and sure could use some help. Thanks a bunch

Re: time for timing belt...

yes, do the water pump. Check all the rollers and replace as needed. Replace any seals that are wet or show signs of wear. If it were mine I would replace all rollers and seals just so you don't have to go back there. Buy a manual if you don't have one
