In my previous thread I had asked about the RSX and TC/NA/SC the engine...I think supercharger or NA would be the way to go considering the time and money I don't have to turbo it. Which leads me to my next question. Where I live the SCCA comes through I think the last Sunday of the month...I would like to do the Time-Attack trials, while still driving it everyday. And on Thursdays the drag strip opens up. So if you were stop and go...accelerating and then decelerating extremely fast, multiple times, wouldn't that " burn " the turbo up? And since a SC works from the bottom end it would seem that it would provide better output and overall performance, correct? And ' sized ' properly it would do well, so to say, in the 1/8 or the 1/4 correct? And still be able to be a daily driver? And aside from those questions...I've seen body kits for the RSX...I know from common knowledge that some are for show, while some actually "help" the perform. But that's the question what kits actually help out...and which is better to help: Full Replacement or Lip Kits? Sorry for the long post, but thanks for the info, and if i could I'd send a dollar to you for every question answered.

The body kits out there are mostly for show. There are very few that actually do anything for you besides add weight. I've seen a few SSCA events on TV with RSX's and they pretty much look stock in terms of body kits.
Like S777 said, go with suspension upgrades first. Changing to wider tires helps also. I've noticed a big improvement when taking corners with a wider tire on there. There are also very lightweight rims out there that will give you extra WHP. A clutch and lightweight flywheel is also something to think about. More HP to the wheels again. AND if you decide to do the clutch, get an LSD installed while you're at it. It will help you take the turns even better. Qualife seems to be the best from what I've read. As far a SC vs TC vs NA, I've just read an article about the RSX challenge where a few aftermarket manufacturers and magazines took an RSX and modified them. Contrary to what you would think, the RSX with the second LEAST HP won the challenge. It seems that the 500+ HP RSX was way too powerful and it broke down a lot. The winning team did mostly Mugen upgrades and increased HP to less than 300, I believe. Hope this helps a little.

So basically it's better to build a "balanced" car then one that will perform in one certain type of racing...such as drag or circut. It makes sense I guess. I'm looking at a couple of X's right now...it seems the only one I'll be able to afford is the 05-06 RSX. Can't afford the Type-S...but I'm working on something so hopefully it'll all work out in the end. Also just a question...is the supension company TEIN, just a new fad is it really something to look into?

TEIN's a good, reputable company. For suspension parts for the RSX the best pieces are made by Acura themselves (the A-Spec suspension is pricey but designed by the NSX Nurburgring team, is a 1 inch drop, and doesn't need a camber kit); Mugen; TEIN; Comptech; and Eibach.
If you want a know what a fad is, i've got three letters for you JDM.Oh and personally I think it'd be better to get a used 02 Type S rather than a used/new 05+ base since price is a factor. It should be about the same price or cheaper.

Yes, I agree 100% with crazy. Get an older typeS rather than a later base if you're going to autocross. The engine is the first thing NOT to compromise on. There are much more add-ons for the the TypeS than for the base. You should be able to get a used '02-'03 TypeS for the same price as an '05-'06 base.
Also, in answer to your question about balancing, yes, it seems that a better balanced car can perform much better than one that has honed in on just one or two items. That is unless you are drag racing. Then you'd want a fast car like the 500hp RSX. But then you also have the problem of getting the car to launch without peeling out.

I don't know. I just want to see what it's like to have a brand new car, but I have noticed there are a lot more parts available for the Type-S models... I'll do some research and see what I can dig up...I'll post what I find...thanks.

Well, a three year old car isn't too old. Also, the TypeS has better engine internals, so you'll spend much less upgrading than if you started out with a base. AND not to mention that you'll automatically start out with extra HP by going with a typeS.
I've been reading on the S/C and turbo kits for the TypeS and most street legal ones only require modifications for larger fuel injectors. You don't have to change any internals like valves and such.
