Too Hot?

I'm just now getting my engine back in the Car after some Klutz did a lot of Rube Golberg Mod's in an effort to solve the Over heating problem. Dont leave the engine set if you have water in the Cylinders. It will rust very quickly and the Pistons will sieze in that rust!

Is the engine really overheating? Not just a bad sensor or guage?
Do you have a 50/50 antifreeze mix? You should have!
Does the Fan kick in?
If not, it could be a bad Thermosensor, or bad wireing to/From the Thermosensor/Cooling fan.
Is it losing Radiator fluid?

But you have to make a compression check, look at the Plugs for signs of impurities. How's it running? Any sudden changes in it 's performance?

Dont be afraid to change the Thermostat, just on accounta becuz! Those things do go bad, and you can get a bad one from a good parts place too!
C'mon back and tell us what you've done and what the problem was!

I'd use an oem Honda thermostat.

the thermostat seems to be working properly, and the coolant is the right mixture with the right amount and the fan is kicking on but the engine continues to run hot and continue to run after the engine is shut off. Im used to domestic engines and up untill a week ago i was driving a accord 2.0FI, but i traded it for my crx.
