Re: double clutching and power shifting

double clutching does nothing for modern cars, except make you run a slower time. we have a magical thing called synchros. people think that double clutching will save their synchros, when in effect, this is like trying to pee on a massive forest fire to put it out.

power shifting has a few definitions. the one i'm most familiar with is shifting using the clutch, but not letting off the gas, and allowing the car to bounce off the rev limiter. this is another stupid ricer move that won't make you any faster, but it will make your tranny destroy itself prematurely.

if you're looking for a more technical explination of both, i dont have the time at the moment.
