2001 Tahoe Parking Brake Won't Hold

The parking brake on my 2001 Tahoe won't hold anymore. The adjuster is maxed and the back brakes work / are in good shape. I have 4 wheel disc brakes) What can I do to make it work again? I park on hills and like to use the PB so that all the weight of the vehicle isn't on the trans.

The park brake shoes are not designed to be wore to the bare minimum. I would compair a new set to the old set, they probabley just need replaced. If they are not much thinner then your cables have streched and they will have to be replaced.
