Air Bag Warning
1998 Aurora. I haven't posted in a while but glad to see all the new members. We were driving over the High-Five in Dallas a while ago and just when we went over the top the Air Bag warning light went on. Chimes sounded. Wife freaked out. Bags didn't deploy. Still have wife.
Went to Auto-Zone but they couldn't pull the codes for the air-bag. Someone told me that it might be a "time" thing. Anyone else had the Air Bag Warning light come on? Any ideas? Thanks |

Mine came on in my 02 , only the dealer has the equiptment to read the airbag errors.
Mine was the front sensor in the lower bumper. Marc |

Re: Air Bag Warning
I was trying to find that sensor on my '97. I found one in front of the engine compartment, attached to the lower radiator support. On my '97 its the Ambient temperature sensor. Might be different on the '02. Same one I accidentally snapped off a few months ago. Epoxy to the rescue.

Re: Air Bag Warning
snap on scanner can read airbag codes with latest software.
Check all your ground connections and battery terminals, oddly enough its one of the first things to trigger if your charging/electrical system is going out. You can do a reset by disconnection of (-) neg terminal of battery for a few minutes. |
