Audi S4's & WRX Killer

1st Race-
So my friend work with a guy who has a 05 WRX, the only mods are biger up/lower downpipes. I wanted to see how fast my T/A was against him so we convinced him to race. Started at a roll of about 40, both floored it he took me slightly (1/2 car-1 car) then mis-shifted. Okay we decide to try that again. Same roll at 40 this time we both hit the gas at the same time, he pulled 1/2 car (remember AWD and it was slightly wet outside) then we started creeping up on him and by 100 had a car or so on him.

Next Race-
(Quick Background)- about 3-4 month's ago I found out my girlfriend was cheating on we so we broke up, I found out who the guy was.
So tonight we stoped at Jack In The Box and, to my suprise I saw a blue Audi S4. It was my ex's, and her new boyfriend was driving. Well now is my chance I thought, I got rid of the V6 and am in a T/A. She saw me but tried to ignore me, but then called me and wanted to race (her bf driving). So we line up at about 40, he get's 1/2 car jump and I slowly start to pull on it. Now this car had 3 people in it but still... by 120 I had put a car lenght on him and he gave up. YES , now I keep getting calls from her asking what I am doing, and stuff like that.

Last Race-
I pulled out of Jack In The Box and I found a silver S4 following me. We wen't from a roll of about 35, I put about a car on him then he shut down. His excuse was that there were 4 people in the car... whatever its AWD.

Now before anyone pulls the bs flag, give me a free site to put my videos up. My buddy Skriff tape all of them, and if you don't belive me check them out.

Re: Audi S4's & WRX Killer

Hahahaha, why are you so scared of ppl calling BS?

I don't think AWD has much of an advantage racing in a straight line from a roll...especially at about 35-40....even in the wet. You'd need some major power to get wheelsping (which the AWD would get rid of). Ironically, it is you who would have the advantage over the AWD cars because their AWD systems would just be sapping power at those speeds.

I find the WRX story believable since from about 60-100 the WRX is like a wheezing old man. I don't know why the guy would only mod his up and down pipes and not the rest of the exhaust though?

I thought someone would be calling bs because those are all very fast cars. As you can see from my signature I have no hp mods on the car (yet). The AWD had a little advantage because it was wet outside, but thats where my top end came into play.

If it was a B5 S4, I wouldn't call BS. If it was a B6, then I would. That, or neither of those guys can drive for shit.

That was the quickest my dial up would go, some of them I cut down in quality and how long they are because the would take forever to upload

Still doesn't matter, when AWD, it sucks WHP, and you don't pull as hard from a roll (less you have that Uber EVO from AMS). The only time they are better when wet is 'round the track and off the line. I watched both vids, didn't look like you pulled to hard on that first S4, but you did on the second S4, and again, I would attribute that to having both AWD and four people in the car (gonna kill ya in a roll). I really couldn't tell the type of S4 either was, but like I said, if they were B5 S4s, then I wouldn't be to suprised, they were 14 flat cars on a good day. A few mods however, and they would eat you alive. If they were B6 S4s, then my money would have to be on them not being able to drive for shit, as they are low 13 cars and trap decent as well. And no, they aren't fast cars at all. God I'm starting to sound like lane_change...Elchico, next time you see me, slap me for that.

Oh, and ViperJ, good kills.

Re: Audi S4's & WRX Killer

It was a B5 S4. The stock ones aren't that fast. I chipped one would eat you alive. Don't overestimate AWD, alot of people claim it to be god's gift to cars, but I really think RWD is still the way to go.

Trust me, at 35ish, AWD has no advantage over you unless you were breaking traction...which you never mentioned you did,...even if it was wet.

Put it this way, AWD has the traction advantage. Was traction an issue in the race --> no ---> hence the AWD was no advantage.

Like DinanM3 said, don't overestimate AWD.

good kills even though racing in the rain isnt the smartest thing to do but......Im sure you know that.....as far as beating a rex from a roll it is very possible in your situation.........
