I have a 92 Grand Am with the current cracked head 2.3 OHC Quad 4.
Im looking to make this a project car along with my body kit. (Andys auto sport) My question is what are the different size motors I can get from GM or anywhere else that would fit my engine bay? Is there a possible way to get the 3800 II Supercharged? All ideas Appreciated. |

Re: crate motors...
Anything is possible if you have enough money and the determination to get it done. The 92 engine bay is limited in size so you may have trouble with putting in a 3.8 but like I said anything is possible. Try l67swap.com for information that may help you out.

Re: crate motors...
well considering the 3300 found in the 92-95 GA bodystyle is a 90 degree motor and since the 3800 is a 90 degree motor (the 3300 is destroked) You could fit one in. Ive seen it in a 1993 GAGT. Also you could go with one of the veriations of the quad 4. You could put in the 160hp quad 4 LO, or the 180hp quad 4 HO, or even the rare 190hp quad 4 W41 (your SOHC has 120hp).
