Re: 1992 chevy blazer

Welcome to Automotive Forums!

I imagine that your Blazer is a 91, and that you want to instal power seats in it.
If you can tell us what the seats came out of including year and model someone can probably look it up. I can't promis it since I don't have any of my manuals at my present location.

Plus it might help us if we know if the buttons are on the seats, or do you have to wire them in elsewhere

Re: 1992 chevy blazer

hi , thank you for your reply to my add , I have a 91 chevy scottsdale pickup , it came with a bench seat , i have installed 2 bucket seats from a 92 chevy blazer, 1 is power (drivers side) , the power control buttons are on the seat , under the seat is a power supply , a female plug with a orange wire with a black tracer and the other wire being black , i have the other half of the plug the male end the wires run under the carpet from the seat but i'm not sure where to connect the black wire and the orange/black tracer wire to a power source. also not knowing which would be the hot wire or if the other is a ground . thank you for any help you can give me , Rich

Re: 1992 chevy blazer

If things go according to manuals - usually they do - the orange/black is your power wire and the black goes to ground.
The org/blk would track back to a 20 amp, hot all times, accesories fuse. The black you just need to find a good ground for.
Hope this helps. '
