Bunch of small problems

1996 Pontiac Sunfire
5 speed, 2.2L

Okay...where to begin...

1) Unbelievable rattling in front right. This happens pretty much anytime I am not accelerating. When accelerating everything feels fine. (Wheel bearings and CV Joint have already been replaced)

2) Headlights....ugh! No high beams, no running lights...but normal lights seem to work fine. When I go to turn the high beams on the headlights go out and I'm in the dark. High beam light on dashboard is always on, sometimes flashes off and on, when it does...my daytime running dash light flashes opposite of it. Looks kinda cool, then gets annoying.

3) Windshield wipers...PIECES OF CRAP! They quite regularly go through their motions as usual but then when I shut them off they spring up to the highest position and stop. This is really pain in the arse!

4) (Mentioned this before in another thread) Car loses power. It seems to occur after the car has been idling (drive thru, corner store, etc.). I can have the pedal to the floor and it still doesn't respond, it even struggles to the point of stalling occasionaly. If it doesn't stall it will finally spring back to life about 10 seconds after initially losing power. (shutting the engine off and starting the car again seems to be a quick fix to this problem....a nice band-aid so to speak, but far more annoying than even the headlights or windshield wipers!)

5) Rear brakes seem to knock quite a bit when in reverse. This has always been a problem, but aside from the noise everything seems cool so I haven't bothered looking into it.

This car has a kagillion clicks on it....but I don't want to put it out to pasture just yet. If anybody can help with any of these problems I'd greatly appreciate it!

Re: Bunch of small problems

For item #1, I would have the strut mount checked as it is probablly broken, had one of mine break and sounds really bad, alot of rattling.
