LED lights question for rlith

1997 Blazer LT
Rlith I saw your post on led lights and I am wanting to do the same thing. I will only be doing the HVAC though. You said to use 3 t1 bulbs but I went to Napa, Auto Zone, and another place but didn't find a led light that said T1 on it. Do you know where I can get these lights without buying off of the internet? Is there another name besides T1? Is T1 a brand? a size? Also I unscrewed and looked at the lights currently on the HVAC and couldn't figure out how to take out the bulb, there were 4 wires coming from it and the bulbwas in a plastic type case. Is there a secret to it? Heres a cell pic of it maybe it will give you an idea as to what I have to do.

Yea they do but the 194 are in the gauge cluster the T1 are in the HVAC unit. I was going to do the same mod, but ran out of time. i didn't find any T-1s Ither, T1 is the size of the bulb, I'm sure if u find one local its gonna be alot, It would be cheaper and eaiser jumping online and getting them. I have no idea about the wiring Rlith's gonna have to help u on that

Re: LED lights question for rlith

I went to Radio Shack before and they don't sell them. I went to other auto parts stores and they had them in stock, but the color I was looking for which was black light, they didn't have, so I had to use the internet. But they do carry blue, red, green, and orange.

Ive wasted a day looking for the 194 the only place that had them was autozone or pepboys. all i saw that they had was a single LED wedge in like blue, red and UV. The ones Rlith use i thought were a 3 LED 194 bulb on his HOW-TO for his gauges. Radio shace does have Leds but there not the same size. You could make it work i'm sure but it wouldn't be as easy. What ever the site Rlith list on his How-to is one of the better places to look. I know of a few of my friends got stuff from them. They do have the t1 and the 194 with the single led or the 3 led bulb

Re: LED lights question for rlith

Oh. Well, to tell ya the truth, I got my black light LEDs off of ebay. They were pretty cheap, the only thing I hate about ordering things off the internet is the wait time and the shipping and handling charges.

I agree with S10blazerman4x4, go to www.superbrightleds.com.
I get all of my LEDs from there too. Very inexpensive and fast shipping.

Re: LED lights question for rlith

Well I could probably match up the bulb somewhere if I could even get the bulb out. How do you pull out that bulb? Anyone know? I have a 1997 BLAZER. I already turned the adaptor/plastic piece the bulb was connected to out of the HVAC, but I cant figure out how you get the actual bulb out. Do you have to take the wires out and rewire it to a new bulb?
