Re: waste gate on a deisel

Is a "noisy waste gate" a brand of waste gate?To my knowledge the waste gate is an integral part of the turbo. This would then be an add on waste gate?

With adding a different waste gate system, you will either be replacing the existing turbo or you will have to supply constant vacuum to the existing waste gate control to keep that system closed.I'm not sure, but you might be able to wire the linkage to keep the gate closed. These might be your only options to my knowledge.
