97 Astro
I have a 97 Astro 250,000 + miles AWD.
I have been having a major miss problem. Driving down road, open highway & suddenly for just a split, a miss. 2 weeks ago our employee was filling gas when engine died. Towed to chevy dealer, they installed a new switch relay and something else. WE drove back to our store, employee gets in drives home for the nght fully warmed engine, engine dies while traveling down highway. It re-started moved 50' & died. towed to our private mechanic and he has had it for 1 1/2 weeks and can't find why this is happening. some days it starts & other days it won't. It's wors e in cold temp in the am (-15 - +20degrees). One person told me it could be the valve positioning sensor, but my mechanic thinks it might be something different and everytime he hooks up to the computer, he can't get a reading on the failure. Has this happened to any one else??? Our 2000 Astro is just fine and past Astros have run great 300,000+ miles and never major damage. what can we do?? Help is appreciated!!
Thanks
