Re: wagoneer smokes (TRAIN)

if its black smoke the accelerator pump is blown. A rebuilt carb is around $200 BILLS. If you can change plugs and wires you can do a carb just watch where the vac hoses go and dont overtighten the four nuts that hold on the carb. I have an 88 grand wag after I upgraded the ignition and replaced carb it runs beaut It used to smoke black horribly in th morning but that was all. The accel pump will cause black smoke all the time. good luck

Re: wagoneer smokes (TRAIN)

the accelorater pump is located at the front of the carb it has a button that gets pushed in when you move the throttle. I have never rebuilt a carb just go and buy one is what I say.
