Speaker and Stereo Question

Hello, I have a 97 Bravada and am about to put a new stereo in it. The stereo will be a JVC KDG-300 mp3/CD deck.

I also have some 6.5" speakers that have never been used. They are "Durabrand WD308SP two WAY Speakers". They are 200w and I was wondering if these would be worth replacing my factory speakers with? The stock speakers sound great but I was wondering if anyone knew if these would sound better? Thanks for any info.

Re: Speaker and Stereo Question

If they're not included, get the correct wiring adapters to connect your aftermarket unit to your 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada. The wiring on these vehicles are so sensitive, a bad connection, a little spark and a whiff of ozone will junk one or more of your vehicle wiring modules and make your life miserable.
You ever notice all the burnt cars on the side of the road the first 2 weeks after xmas?

I will do that for sure. I think I saw some of these at Walmart on the weekend. They are a bundle of wires and a colored clip that plugs into the aftermarket cd player correct?

Re: Speaker and Stereo Question

I don't know what's available in the aftermarket. My Bravadas still have the stock sound systems but my '86 Cutlass had a shot sound system so I went to the local boneyard and bought a radio and front speakers from an '86 98 and the rear speakers from a '91 Grand Am. Everything snapped together with stock connectors and the Cutlass now has great tunes.
