2000 4.7 Dakota Quad 4x4 -- Driving to the city the other day and went to use cruise control and it wouldn't work. Had issues with it a few months back when I noticed the cruise control cables had rubbed a pin sized hole in one of the AC lines. Fixed the AC line and rearranged the cruise control lines. Ever since then the cruise control has halfway worked. Other day arranged cc lines back to original position and now nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check the wires, there may be an internal break and maybe a fuse blew?

Re: Cruise Control Help
Do your other steering wheel mounted controls (like the horn or radio controls) work? If not, you need a new clockspring, the electrical cabling inside the steering wheel. I think your year has a recall on it. Mine broke but no recall.

Re: Cruise Control Help
Other steering wheel control (horn) works, do not have remote radio controls. The "Cruise" indicator comes on under the odometer when I press the Cruise on/off button, and I can hear a single click sound come from under the hood. Could the servo be bad?
