Re: Value of Disassembled GS455

Hard to say for sure... I wouldn't pay more than $2K for one unless it was a rare model (stage1, GSX, rare options). And even $2k for a perfect (well.. typical 35yrs worth of wear and tear) body... no rust, large dents, rot anywhere, good core support and inner fenders... etc.

Personally, it would be alot more valuable with the numbers matching engine.... You could probably take the extra cash from including the engine and trans to buy another one for whatever you plan on doing with it with some left over. Unless the buyer doesn't want it.

Good Luck....

Re: Value of Disassembled GS455

I have the engine and tranny, just have to look for it. Car was a perfect 80k mile car that was disassembled for use as a parts car on a rare 71 stg1 conv 4spd w/ bench (1 of 9) but I never got through with it.

Re: Value of Disassembled GS455

OK.. .I'd go $2k... if you find the engine and it's matching numbers then probably $3k...

The most important part of that car is the Grille..... if that's perfect, you could go $3k without engine(good grills fetch $5-900 on ebay... used to be more before the Repro's came out)... maybe $4-5K with numbers engine. Do you have the build sheet to document that it's a real GS455? anybody who's going to foot $4k for that car will want to see it's documentation.

Re: Value of Disassembled GS455

dude i just dropped the grill yesterday and chipped the corner...not that bad though. Its all matching numbers and documented. It was bought as a parts car for a 71 stg1 conv 4 speed bench....super rare....but has non origional engine. Im trying to sell that car for 5k but its tough nowadays.

Re: Value of Disassembled GS455

I would LOVE to get that GSX from you, Bummer I'm not in the market for one now (read: not enough cash for it..lol).

If you really want them gone... figure out how much you want for them, get all the pics you can, documentation.. and list them here:

I don't forsee them lasting too long on that site.

Good Luck
