Oil pump sprocket is hard to turn?!?!
guys, i need your help, you see i just got done rebuilding my motor (new water pump, pulleys, belts, oil pump, etc...) however, when i came into the process of timing my pulley marks, i found out that the oil pump pulley is hard to turn! I forgot to mention, but i've just completed the B-shaft elimination procedure also by follow vfaq. I had to tear off the oil pump like four times and jam pack the rear and front case cover with moly grease and it turned a little smoother, but not as freely as its suppose to. Or maybe thats how the pulley reacts once the b-shaft procedure is done? I've tried rotating the crank manually to see if i can lubricate the case housing a little but the timing ended up jumping. Please reply back if you ran into this problem or have a solution. Because everytime i tear off the oil pump front case to see whats going on...I'm like
. thanks

Re: Oil pump sprocket is hard to turn?!?!
Hmm it should be easier to turn with the bs out. Have you take the pump apart? Maybe something is missing or wrong, try putting some oil in it see if that helps.
