66 Impala convertible
I FINALLY got my 1966 Impala SS Convertible from my grandmothers house, and my dad and I are gettin' the restoration started. Since it's a convertible, I'm a bit nervous about putting a nice system in it.
I want to transfer what I've got from my moms car to my car once I get a new convertible top, and an alarm. I don't think there's any way to put my head unit in without messing up the dash, which isn't happening, other than making en enclosure. My dad has done a lot of fiberglass work, so I think I'm going to make an enclouse, have him help me glass it, and have it painted to match the body. I'd like to bolt this to the transmission/driveshaft tunnel. How feasible is this idea? Also, what's the best way to secure a classic domestic convertible? Are there any special alarms I should look at?
